Nostradamus convinces with phenomenal scope, great intelligence and outstanding technique. On top of this he is exquisite on the inside, a characterful horse who is exceptionally kind. Father Nabab de Rève, grandfather Chin Chin and great grandfather Carthago all participated successfully in international show junmping at World Championships and Olympic Games. Nabab de Rève was internationally successful under Belgian Philippe Le Jeune, including victories in the Nations Cup at CHIO Aachen and Team Bronze at the World Equestrian Games in 2002 in Jerez (ESP). Alongside World Champion Vigo d’Arsouilles (Kentucky 2010) Nabab de Rève is also father to Gerco Schröder’s London, silver medallist at the Olympic Games in London as well as Nabab Son/Ludger Beerbaum and then Dennis Lynsch (IRL), Valentina van’t Heike/Jos Lansink (BEL), Walnut de Muze/Harrie Smolders (NED) and Kashmir van’t Schuttershof/Philippe Lejeune (FRA). The Holstein horse Chin Chin was the Olympic horse of Jaime Azcarraga (MEX) in Seoul 1988, where they achieved a phenomenal 6th place in the individual jumping. In 1992 they also competed at the Olympics in Barcelona. After numerous victories in World Cup classes in the North American league, in 1989 and 1990 they were placed in the World Cup finals in Dortmund and Tampa.
Chin Chin produced first class show jumpers for the international sport, including the licensed Phin Phin, also Cholula, Chapala, Querly Chin and Tolano. The grey Carthago in the third generation enjoyed consistent success with Jos Lansink in the Dutch Nations Cup team (Olympian in 1996) and is considered one of the most influential Capitol I sons worldwide.
