The likeable and light-footed Pjethro comes from the first foal crop of his sire Kjento. Like his father, he impresses under saddle with a great deal of mechanics in his movement—especially in trot and canter—with an above-average active hind leg. He already shows a high level of balance, reliable rhythm, and very harmonious movement. Pjethro is also making an impressive start in sport, having already won the first stage of the KWPN Anemone Horse Truck Stallion Competition with an outstanding score of 87.8 points. The judges’ comment: “This horse shows great lightness in his movement—he simply has everything, combined with an excellent work ethic.”
We are very much looking forward to Pjethro’s first foal crop.
His sire Kjento was World Champion of Young Dressage Horses at both six and seven years of age (2021/2022) and is already successful at Intermediaire II level in the main arena. On the dam’s side, the damsire Desperado won the silver medal with the Dutch team at the European Championships in Rotterdam in 2019, ridden by Emmelie Scholtens. As a breeding stallion, Desperado has already produced numerous licensed sons, including Asgard’s Ibiza and Djacomo, who was recently awarded a premium at the Oldenburg licensing. The granddam Naomie (by Houston) produced the licensed stallion Valeron—successful up to Grand Prix level—when crossed with Sandro Hit. Three further offspring of this mare have achieved international success up to Grand Prix level.
