Outstanding own performance combined with a top-class pedigree distinguish the jet-black stallion Jaguar v/d Berghoeve.
His exceptional potential became apparent at a very early age. At just eight years old, he jumped clear in the Nations Cup of Denmark, and at the age of nine, under his new rider Jasmin Chen (CHN), he competed at the World Equestrian Games in Tryon (USA). Numerous successful international competitions followed, including appearances on the Global Champions Tour. His offspring have also already made their mark at the highest level of the sport, such as Jolie vd Berghoeve / Carlos Bosch Cebrian (ESP), Yax vd Berghoeve / Andres Azcarraga (MEX) and Phiddich vh Hertenrooi / Jaroslaw Skrzyczynski (POL).
His sire Emerald was himself highly successful under Harrie Smolders, winning numerous Grand Prix events and representing the Netherlands at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. His dam Quaranca de Muze, a daughter of the highly respected Nabab de Rêve, produced two additional licensed stallions alongside Jaguar. Of particular interest is his granddam Fragance de Chalus, who is also the dam of Mylord Carthago, Bamako de Muze and Norton d’Éole. To date, she has produced 15 internationally successful S-level horses, six of them competing at 1.60 m level.
