Olympic champion in Beijing 2008, twice winner of the CN Grand Prix of Calgary, winner of the Aachen Grand Prix and the best horse at the World Championship 2010 in Kentucky. Hickstead is an exception, one of the best horses showjumping will ever know and a great opportunity for breeders.
Hickstead is born from a strong damline, directly related to a former number one horse in the world, Admara. Hickstead’s father is Hamlet, carrying the famous Nimmerdor blood. Ekstein and Ulft, his second and third father, are well-respected in breeding terms as well.
Hickstead has not been used too much as a young stallion but nevertheless already one of his descendants, Hickstead’s Axel (out of Numero Uno), is jumping 1.50m with Sharn Wordley. Some youngsters sired by Hickstead are coming up nowadays, thinking about Sx Lazy (out of Cruising) and Fyenda P (out of Cantos), all horses with real jumping skills, an incredible mentality and respect.
